Rooms Controller

Hourly Wage: $26.75. Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

About the role

As a Rooms Controller at Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW), you will assist in providing our Owners/guests with experiences and events to make memorable vacation memories in a supportive, friendly, and beautiful work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assigns a room according to guest requests and preferences whenever possible.
• Reviews, tracks, and accommodates requests for room/check-out changes when possible.
• Performs duplicate reservation checks; blocks rooms.
• Confirms reservations and cancellations.
• Communicates to appropriate staff that there are guests waiting for an available room.
• Organizes and coordinates check-in/pre-registration procedures for arriving groups.
• Reviews requests for late check-outs and approves according to occupancy.
• Welcomes and greets guests and anticipates and addresses their needs.
• Interacts with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly.
• Contributes to team goals.
• Always follows company policies and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.
• Able to reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 10 lbs without assistance.
• Position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
