About the Role

As Patient Care Support, you will provide essential clerical services to a nursing unit, ensuring seamless communication and administrative efficiency. Your role is vital in coordinating telecommunications between nursing staff and all hospital departments. You will prepare, compile, and meticulously maintain patient records, while also coordinating office supply and forms PAR levels at the nurses' station. You will consistently communicate effectively with all customers, guaranteeing accurate maintenance of patient medical records.

Your ability to support the strategic plan and contribute to the Performance Improvement Plan will be crucial in providing exceptional administrative support to the nursing unit.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the ability to safely and competently perform tasks and procedures according to Medical Center policy and procedure, including but not limited to:
  • Transfers patients in a safe manner and communicates with patient and family members.
  • Knows the location of all departments.
  • Organizes and performs room support tasks/duties without direction.
  • Controls environment and performs appropriate housekeeping duties.
  • Assists team members in gathering patient care needs.
  • Sets up equipment and ensures necessary accessories are ready when needed.
  • Troubleshoots (problem solves) equipment/monitors.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED.
• A minimum of one year of Operating Room experience or one year's experience in a general hospital setting.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR certification.

Pay

$30.59 - $34.37 per hour.
