Room Service Facilitator, Resource Pool

Schedule

6:30 AM – 8:30 PM, varied hours; 4 weekdays with every other weekend required.

Responsibilities

• Complete all assigned duties professionally, accurately, and in a timely manner.
• Maintain thorough understanding of the Room Service/Tray Monitor System.
• Assemble Room Service meal trays for patients and customers.
• Multi-task and work at a fast pace while ensuring meals are delivered courteously, accurately, and on time.
• Clean work surfaces, equipment, and floors in the work station.
• Assist in transporting Room Service carts to units for patient meal delivery.
• Notify appropriate care providers when patient meal service needs are identified (e.g., patients receiving insulin, documentation of oral intake).
• Interact politely, friendly, and helpfully with co-workers, patients, nurses, and customers.
• Work in the dish room or other areas as needed.
• Uphold all DHEC/DNV regulations regarding food safety, facility upkeep, cleaning, and sanitation.
• Record food service and DHEC reports, logs, and records.
• Maintain proper personal and hand hygiene practices at all times.
• Relay any identified problems to the Coordinator, Supervisor, or Management in a timely manner.
• Remain flexible with schedule times.
• Complete any other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Coordinator, Lead, or Management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or one year of applicable food service/customer service experience.
• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions regarding patient care, nutrition, and infection control policies.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to push weights up to 200 lbs.
• Constant standing and walking required.
