About the role
The Room Inspector ensures guest rooms are properly cleaned and stocked according to hotel standards. This role also assists in training Room and House Attendants and performs housekeeping duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly inspect all rooms for cleanliness and maintenance issues.
- Record inspection results and update the status of rooms that pass inspection.
- Ensure proper use of inventory and supplies.
- Report any missing, damaged, or maintenance issues in rooms immediately.
- Resolve guest complaints professionally and courteously.
- Communicate guest issues and feedback to the management team for appropriate action.
- Coordinate, prioritize, and assign responsibilities to Housekeeping staff in the manager’s absence.
- Comply with and enforce security procedures.
- Assist in training new housekeeping staff as needed.
- Assist with housekeeping and other duties as required.
- Understand and follow all company, Environmental, Health, and Safety Management Programs.
- Enforce correct use of chemicals and equipment as trained.
- Check all cleaning aids and equipment for compliance with hotel safety guidelines.
- Ensure timely, efficient, and friendly responses to housekeeping requests from guests or management.
- Assist in cleaning guestrooms and processing laundry as needed.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate basic English.
- Solid knowledge of all duties related to the housekeeping department.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, interpersonal, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and be self-motivated.
- Good computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, room management, guest request programs, and email.
- Ability to learn all company training and safety materials.
- Proven ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Flexible schedule that may include holidays, weekends, and any day of the week.

Pay
$29–$32 per hour.
