About the role

The Room Attendant (Housekeeper) plays a crucial role in creating a clean and orderly environment for guests at Great Wolf Lodge. Their responsibilities include general cleaning and maintenance duties such as vacuuming, dusting, item washing, trash collection, and proper sorting.

Responsibilities

  • Cleans guest rooms and guest areas, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, replacing supplies, cleaning windows, mirrors, and patios
  • Utilizes chemicals according to directions and familiarizes self with all material safety data sheets
  • Maintains a stocked, organized, and clean cart with sufficient supplies
  • Reports maintenance issues through appropriate channels for resolution
  • Documents and secures lost and found items
  • Communicates with guests professionally and courteously
  • Keeps supplies ready by restocking housekeeping cart at the end of each shift
  • Assists House Attendants, including delivering guest requests and picking up used guest items
  • Conserves energy by closing shades and draperies; turning down air conditioning and heat of unoccupied rooms
  • Reports hazardous conditions in the work area or equipment to supervisor

Requirements

  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen

Qualifications & Skills

  • Prior experience in housekeeping, sanitation, laundry operations, and/or guest services
  • Excellent customer service and oral communication skills
  • Previous housekeeping or general cleaning experience

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Able to push/pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Able to bend, stretch, and twist
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Able to work with chemicals according to directions

Pay

Pay rate: $19.10/hr. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of Great Wolf's total compensation package. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and other perks.
