Room Attendant-Hampton Inn Colchester / Burlington, VT

About the role

Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of guest rooms and public areas, delivering a comfortable and welcoming environment in accordance with Hampton Inn brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service assigned guest rooms (bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas) and public spaces (hallways, lounge) per Hampton standards
• Make beds, change linens, launder towels, and replace used linens and toiletries
• Restock room supplies (coffee, toiletries, writing materials) and maintain housekeeping cart supplies
• Dust, vacuum, sweep, wax, scrub, and polish all relevant surfaces
• Promptly report maintenance issues, safety risks, or lost/found items to supervisors
• Ensure key control and security of guest belongings at all times
• Organize and maintain housekeeping storage areas and carts
• Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines
• Collaborate with hotel staff to meet guest requests and elevate guest satisfaction

Qualifications & Skills

• Prior housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred
• Excellent attention to detail, commitment to cleanliness, and organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within shift schedules
• Physical stamina to lift up to 25 lbs (sometimes more), stand, bend, walk, kneel, and reach during shifts
• Basic communication skills and professionalism
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
