About the role

The Housekeeping Room Attendant performs all daily tasks associated with cleaning guest rooms and contributes as an active business partner supporting the company’s goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values.

Responsibilities

• Clean and reset guest bedroom and bathroom areas
• Change linens, make beds, organize collateral on tables, straighten furniture, dust and vacuum rooms, empty trash
• Be courteous and helpful to guests, including reporting any guest requests or preferences
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner as outlined by Housekeeping leadership
• Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside the normal scope of duties based on business needs
• Promote a positive image of the property by displaying a pleasant and upbeat personality during each guest interaction and responding to guest needs and requests
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms

Requirements

• One (1) year prior experience in a similar cleaning position
• High School Diploma or equivalent vocational training
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, handle or feel objects, tools, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl; talk, hear; reach with hands and arms
• Occasionally climb or balance
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and sometimes lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Exert physical effort in cleaning multiple rooms per shift

Pay

The pay scale for a full-time Room Attendant is $21.50 per hour (base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay).
