Room Attendant

About the role

The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, hallways, furnishings, flooring, and work areas. This includes tasks such as refilling supplies, sanitizing equipment, making beds, and performing general cleaning duties.

Responsibilities

• Make beds
• Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses and writing supplies
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaners
• Dust furniture and equipment
• Polish metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings
• Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork
• Wash windows, door panels, and sills
• Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays
• Transport trash and waste to the disposal area
• Replenish bathroom supplies
• Replace light bulbs
• Follow material safety data sheets when using chemicals
• Report to work for scheduled shifts on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy
• Know and comply with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties
• Greet guests in a friendly and warm manner

Pay

Hourly, paid bi-weekly.
