About the Role
The Room Attendant will ensure that assigned rooms are fully stocked, cleaned, and serviced to a high standard. They will also maintain cleanliness and appearance of all public spaces within the hotel and promptly address guest queries and resolve complaints within the scope of their responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and respond to queries.
- Make beds in guest rooms.
- Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, water, coffee, writing supplies, and bathroom supplies in guest rooms.
- Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
- Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using a vacuum cleaner.
- Dust furniture and equipment.
- Polish metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.
- Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
- Empty wastebaskets, clean ashtrays, and transport trash to disposal areas.
- Replace light bulbs.
- Collect soiled linens for laundering and receive and store linen supplies in the linen closet.
- Load articles into washer and add specified amounts of detergent or cleaning agents.
- Lift clean, wet articles from washer and place them into wringers and driers for measured time cycles.
- Sort dried articles according to identification number or type, fold, and place them in appropriate storage bins.
- Report any technical issues and maintenance needs.
- Update the status of guest rooms on the assignment sheet.
- Return and restock the cleaning cart at the end of the shift.
- Comply with all housekeeping policies, procedures, and standards.
- Perform job-related physical activities, including standing or sitting for extended periods, lifting and carrying items as needed, and performing movements such as bending, twisting, and reaching.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to perform repetitive actions consistently.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous housekeeping or custodial experience preferred but not required.
- Successful completion of a background check is required prior to employment.
