Rooftop Loader

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload roofing materials from delivery trucks using manual and mechanical methods.
• Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Facilitate the safe and effective distribution of materials onto flat and sloped roofs as per company safety guidelines.
• Operate conveyor belt systems (where trained and certified) to transport building materials from flatbed trucks to rooftops.
• Accurately verify and reconcile material orders.
• Provide exceptional service to roofing contractors.
• Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols.
• Work closely with drivers and other team members to coordinate efficient loading and unloading processes.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

• Physically fit, capable of lifting heavy items up to 100 lbs.
• Comfortable working significant heights on varied roof surfaces.
• Primarily outdoors and on rooftops, with exposure to various weather conditions.
• Required to wear safety equipment such as hard hats, safety harnesses, and gloves.
• Inherent exposure to loud machinery noise.

Preferred Qualifications

• Reliable transportation for commuting.
• Authorized to work for any employer in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to pass criminal and driving background checks, along with a pre-employment drug test.
• Proficient in verbal and written communication in English. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
• Safety awareness with knowledge of OSHA guidelines.
• Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Availability to work Monday through Friday with the potential for overtime based on delivery schedules and peak seasons.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Minimum Education

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Pay & Benefits

• The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $20.00 to $24.00 per hour.
• Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.

• Hourly associates may be eligible for overtime based on business needs.
• Depending on the role, associates may also be eligible for performance-based bonus programs, commissions, car allowance or automobile and fuel program, and reimbursement for travel expenses in accordance with company travel policy.

About the Role

Responsible for loading, unloading, transporting and positioning materials to and from various sites on the rooftop of residential homes and commercial buildings while upholding the company’s standards for outstanding customer service and operational excellence.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Skills

Physical fitness, ability to lift heavy items, good balance, comfort working on rooftops, proficiency in English, and proper use of PPE.
