Responsibilities
- Supervise Foreman, Craftsman, Sr. Technicians, and Tech I and II Technicians on specific jobs.
- Train team members and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and teamwork standards.
- Conduct continual project reviews with Operations Manager (OM), Field Operations Manager (FOM), Project Managers (PMs), and Foremen.
- Collaborate with administrative and field teams to complete change orders as needed.
- Maintain continual interaction with General Contractor (GC) and/or ownership.
- Attend weekly jobsite meetings.
- Enforce 100% PPE compliance, daily SPSA/JHA, and Stretch and Flex routines.
- Develop Foreman and field employees through on-site management and control of projects, emphasizing safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Provide positive reinforcement for team performance and demand high standards in safety, quality, productivity, attitude, appearance, dependability, and teamwork.
- Conduct daily safety, quality, and production walks, completing QC/QA forms.
- Review job costs constantly and report significant items to the Project Manager (PM).
- Identify potential cost/savings issues related to job or company performance.
- Ensure productivity aligns with estimated productivity and allocate equipment and personnel to assigned projects.
- Guarantee personnel work a full 8-hour workday.
- Promote the Chamberlin Employee Referral Program.
- Participate in the interview process for Technicians.
- Collaborate with General Superintendent (GS) and HR on employee reviews and address performance issues, including documentation.
- Discuss and document issues that may require termination, consulting with GS and HR beforehand.
- Assist in estimating by discussing application techniques, productivity, and potential obstacles; notify PM of possible estimate mistakes.
- Handle minor day-to-day purchases and collaborate with PM and GS on purchasing or renting special equipment.
- Maximize equipment use in discussions with PMs and GS.
- Ensure accurate daily and weekly completion of timecards and submission to payroll, involving direct interaction with Foremen and field personnel.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience at a Foreman level within the construction industry with related divisional experience.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Proven leadership and employee development ability.
- Tested knowledge of all division product applications.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret construction drawings.
- Proven ability to interact professionally with employees and customers; must be a Chamberlin Ambassador.
- Valid driver’s license; bilingual preferred.
- Safety-focused with strong communication and leadership skills.
- Able to work independently without significant supervision.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work outside in changing weather conditions.
- Must be able to work in elevated locations.
- Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week and overtime when necessary.
- Must have reliable transportation to get to differing job locations.
- Must be seeking full-time employment with a desire to advance within the company.
Education
High school diploma or GED.
