Responsibilities
- Supervision of Foreman, Craftsman, Sr. Technicians and Tech I and II Technicians on a specific job.
- Training, Ensuring Safety, Quality, and Teamwork on all aspects of the project within your division.
- Continual project review with OM, FOM, PMs and Foreman.
- Work with team (Admin and Field) to complete change orders as needed.
- Continual interaction with GC and/or ownership.
- Mandatory attendance at weekly jobsite meetings.
Job Description
- Safety: PPE 100%, SPSA/JHA, Stretch and Flex daily
- Development of Foreman and field employees
- On site management and control of project; safety, quality, teamwork
- Positive reinforcement for a job well done with all team members
- Demand and verify high standards (i.e. safety, quality, productivity, attitude, appearance, dependability, teamwork, etc.)
Job Site Review
- Safety Walk, Quality Walk and Production (Daily completion of QC/QA forms)
- Constant review of job costs and report any items of importance to Project Manager (PM)
- Point out potential cost/savings issues as related to job or company performance
- Directly responsible for productivity in relation to estimated productivity
- Ensure all equipment & personnel are allocated to assigned project
- Directly responsible to ensure personnel are working “8 hours work for 8 hours pay”
Hiring/Performance Management
- Hire and manage employees through the Chamberlin Employee Referral Program
- Work with GS and HR on Employee Reviews
- Address any employee performance issues, including documentation
- Discuss and document any specific issues that may require termination and consult with GS and HR prior to termination
Purchasing
- Absentee purchasing for minor day to day purchases
- Work with PM and GS regarding the purchasing or renting of special equipment
- Discuss with PM’s and GS ways we might be able to maximize the use of equipment
Payroll
- Ensure the daily and weekly accurate completion of timecards and submittal to payroll
- This will involve direct interaction with Foreman and Field personnel
Experience/Abilities
- Minimum of 2 years of experience at a Foreman level within the construction industry with related divisional experience
- OSHA 30 certification
- Proven leadership and employee development ability
- Tested knowledge of all division product applications
- Tested knowledge of ability to read, understand and interpret construction drawings
- Proven ability to interact with employees and customers in an appropriate, professional manner; must be a Chamberlin Ambassador
Minimum Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- English speaking, bilingual preferred
- Safety focused
- Able to communicate expectations and lead others
- Able to work independently without significant supervision
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
- Must be able to work outside in changing weather conditions
- Must be able to work in elevated locations
- Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week and overtime when necessary
- Must have reliable transportation to get to differing job locations
