What You'll Do
- Conduct roof site assessments at commercial and residential properties.
- Measure roof dimensions, slopes, penetrations, and other roof components.
- Take detailed photographs of roof conditions, damage, and site-specific conditions.
- Perform roof core samples when required to identify existing roof systems.
- Document roof obstructions, safety concerns, and other relevant project information.
- Prepare accurate field notes and ensure all collected data is complete.
- Verify measurements and observations before leaving each job site.
- Upload photos, measurements, reports, and related documentation into company software systems.
- Cook up with estimating, operations, sales, and project management teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain professional interactions with customers, property managers, and other stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Some college or technical education preferred but not required.
- Prior roofing, construction, surveying, estimating, inspection, or related field experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
- Ability to travel to various project locations as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb ladders and access rooftops safely.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to walk uneven terrain and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and climb as necessary to perform roof inspections.
