Roofing Service Technician
About the role
The Roofing Service Technician position is based in Chadd's Ford, Pennsylvania. G Fedale is a leading roofing and siding company in the tri-state area, known for its commitment to quality, customer service, and employee satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responds to service requests from the Service Scheduler on smaller or less complex projects.
- Reviews service work orders, clarifies any questions or concerns, understands billing, and arranges visits.
- Makes initial assessments and visits service sites to address customer needs.
- Gains agreement on repair plans and collects payments.
- Completes repairs within budget and customer satisfaction standards.
- Communicates with the Sales, Marketing, and Production Departments for feedback and potential revenue opportunities.
- Improves productivity and results through daily efforts.
Requirements
- A high school degree.
- Additional training in construction skills, estimating, and customer service is beneficial.
- 5+ years of experience in home building, remodeling, or renovation markets as a skilled tradesman, independent contractor, or project manager.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and work with construction contracts.
- Basic understanding of home insurance and claim processing.
- Strong 4-function math skills.
- Excellent computer skills, including mobile access to a service-oriented CRM system.
- Outstanding customer service skills, including handling challenging situations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and react quickly to changes.
- Valid driver’s license with no restrictions on driving for company-related business.
- Clean, reliable, and insured personal vehicle.
- Desirable personal traits include honesty, integrity, accuracy, high standards, fairness, good listening, and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Physical Demands
The ability to walk, climb stairs, sit at a desk for extended periods, stand for hours, drive to and from meetings, operate computers and phones, open/close file cabinets, bend/stand as necessary, set up and use an extension ladder, safely climb on, navigate around, and descend from residential and commercial roofs, and lift up to 80 pounds.
