What You’ll Do

  • Respond to customer inquiries quickly and professionally
  • Show up on time and prepared for scheduled appointments
  • Inspect roofs and gather the details needed for accurate estimates
  • Send finalized quotes within 2 to 3 days after inspection
  • Follow up consistently by phone, text, and email
  • Set clear expectations so customers always know the next step
  • Follow Joyland’s residential sales process and checklists
  • Create clear, complete work orders for sold jobs
  • Work with the production team to support a smooth project handoff
  • Stay involved after the sale to help make sure the work is completed with quality and care
  • Continue learning about roofing, products, sales, and the industry

A strong Roofing Consultant is

Performance Expectations

Success in this role includes:

  • Responding to all customer inquiries within 12 hours
  • Responding to text messages within 1 hour
  • Returning phone messages within half a day
  • Keeping Sales Dashboard numbers on track
  • Reaching annual sales goals
  • Maintaining strong quote close rates
  • Meeting company gross profit expectations
  • Looking for appropriate opportunities to quote related work when it benefits the customer

Schedule

This role requires flexibility, especially during the busy season. Roofing Consultants should expect to work 50+ hours per week during peak times. Time off is generally best taken during slower seasons, and active leads should be handled responsibly before disconnecting.
