Roofing Mechanic

About the role

Markley Properties is seeking a highly skilled Roofer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for in-house roofing projects that fall under the "roofing" scope of work, including roof maintenance, repairs, and new assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Work with Property Manager/Assistant Property Manager/Roofing Supervisor to promote job site safety and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Install different types of roofing systems such as TPO, Sarnafil, PVC, and EPDM rubber roofs.
• Comprehend, construct, and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and shop drawings for roofing tasks.
• Perform snow removal on all roofs as needed.
• Operate safely using hand and power tools, and adhere to OSHA regulations and other regulatory agencies related to job site safety.
• Work outside in various weather conditions and meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Climb and operate on ladders as necessary.
• Drive company vehicles as needed, requiring a valid driver’s license and acceptable background check.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of commercial roofing experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Preferred OSHA 30 certification.

Qualifications

• Proficient in safe work practices and OSHA regulations.
• Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and during snow/rainstorms as needed.
• Required to work in Lowell to support internal/external projects as needed.
