Roofing Apprentice / Skilled Laborer

Don't just be a laborer. Learn a trade and stop paying for gas. Eckard Roofing is hiring a Skilled Laborer / Apprentice to join our team in Truckee. We are looking for someone with 2+ years of general construction experience who is tired of dead-end jobs and wants to become a professional Roofer. If you are reliable, comfortable with heights, and ready to work hard, we will teach you the rest.

Responsibilities

• Keep the crew running efficiently by staging materials, setting up ladders, and managing tools.
• Assist Journeymen with installing asphalt, metal, and single-ply roofing systems.
• Maintain a clean job site and follow OSHA guidelines (we take safety seriously).
• Load and unload materials; this is a physical job—you need to be ready to work.

Requirements

• 2+ years of general construction experience.
• Comfortable working on roofs and climbing ladders (no fear of heights).
• Reliable: show up on time, every day.
• Valid driver’s license.

Pay

$25.00 – $27.00 per hour (based on experience) with weekly pay and overtime eligibility.

Schedule

Full‑Time, Monday–Friday.
