Roofing Apprentice

Eckard Roofing is hiring a Skilled Laborer / Apprentice to join our team in Truckee. We are looking for someone with 2+ years of general construction experience who is tired of dead-end jobs and wants to become a professional Roofer. If you are reliable, comfortable with heights, and ready to work hard, we will teach you the rest.

About the role

• Keep the crew running efficiently by staging materials, setting up ladders, and managing tools.
• Assist Journeymen with installing asphalt, metal, and single-ply roofing systems.
• Maintain a clean job site and follow OSHA guidelines (we take safety seriously).
• Load and unload materials. This is a physical job—you need to be ready to work.

Requirements

• 2+ years of construction experience: You know how to use a tape measure, swing a hammer, and work on a construction site safely.
• No fear of heights: You must be comfortable working on roofs and climbing ladders.
• Reliability: You show up on time, every day.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Pay

$25.00 – $27.00/hour (based on experience)

Schedule

Full-Time, Monday–Friday

Commute from Reno/Sparks in our truck.

Weekly pay every Friday.
