Roof Truss Builder - 2nd Shift

About the role

Our builders assemble precut wooden parts to construct trusses and wall panels used in residential building construction. Builders move specified precut parts to the work area, position them according to truss layouts, and follow supervisor’s instructions and blueprint specifications.

Responsibilities

• Verify dimensions of pre-cut parts for accuracy of assembly
• Place metal reinforcement plates over connecting joints and connect parts at joints using hammers, presses, saws, or pneumatic staple guns
• Assemble pre-cut wooden parts to build trusses and similar supports of wall sections
• Follow all safety procedures and standards as established by the company
• Follow all quality control procedures and standards as established by the company
• Inform production supervisor when material is missing, defective, or additional material is needed
• Clean work area daily
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Safety-focused
• Team-oriented
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. consistently
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach
• Excellent attendance record
