Responsibilities
- Contribute to and manage the complex coordination, development, and production of projects from concept design through construction administration, installation, and project handover.
- Able to assist and guide a team on all phases of a project.
- Able to manage multiple projects across the board, simultaneously.
- Strong client-facing capabilities.
- Construction documentation-level drawing work, including highly articulate design detailing.
- Proficiency with traditional architectural vocabulary and the fundamentals of building construction and assembly.
- Comfortable presenting ideas, both internally and externally.
- Maintain project directories.
- Collaborate with consultants and work on a project team.
- Design and construction documentation, including design details.
- Proficiency with building systems and the fundamentals of building construction and assembly.
- Participate in the development of design concepts and presentation materials.
- Propose design solutions and carry these through all design phases.
- Participate in development and maintenance of project schedules and diff docs.
- Produce sheet indexes and drawing logs.
- Research materiality and build architectural schedules and specifications.
- Review Junior/Intermediate Designer’s work, prior to VP of Residential review.
- Project day-to-day coordination with consultants and third-party consultants/vendors.
- Log and file incoming RFIs, submittals, and other external correspondence, and track progress to completion/resolution.
Qualifications And Skills
- Minimum of 2-5 years of professional architectural experience.
- Residential experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of construction methods.
- Ability to produce technical documentation, including DD and CD/IDD.
- Fluency in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
- Strong graphics and visual presentation skills.
- 3D modeling and rendering experience, including Rhino and Revit, is a plus.
- Dexterity with hand drawing and rendering capabilities is a plus.
Pay
- $90,000 - $100,000 annually
