About the role
Commercial dock and door systems are critical infrastructure. When these systems fail, businesses suffer. Experienced technicians are essential to ensuring these systems operate reliably.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and maintain commercial dock and door equipment to manufacturer standards
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues across various equipment types
- Fabricate installation hardware using hand and power tools
- Interpret manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to guide diagnostics and repairs
- Document all service activity with precision
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, providing real-time updates and explanations for additional service needs
- Support teammates on larger installations and adapt to changing schedules
Requirements
- Valid, current state-issued driver’s license
- Physical ability to perform fieldwork in varying outdoor conditions, including regular standing, bending, ladder use, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Experience with welding, mechanical systems, hydraulics, or electrical work
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with commercial dock and door systems
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Trade school certificate or diploma preferred
- Hands-on experience with welding, mechanical systems, hydraulics, or electrical work
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with commercial dock and door systems
Skills
- Technical fluency in mechanical and electrical systems
- Comfortable with welding, hydraulics, and fabrication
- Self-management and reliability
- Strong communication skills
- Physical capability to handle fieldwork in various conditions

Pay
Hourly, with a range of $25.00 to $32.00 per hour, depending on experience and location.
Schedule
Fieldwork requires regular travel to customer sites, typically daily.
