About the role
Provide mechanical engineering support to the Rolling Mill.
Responsibilities
- Research and analyze vendor proposals for design or application feasibility
- Coordinate maintenance and repair activities to obtain optimal equipment utilization
- Evaluate and recommend design modifications to eliminate equipment malfunctions, improve equipment reliability and efficiency
- Create and assist in preventive maintenance standards & solutions
- Perform long-term maintenance planning, purchase spare parts and analyze spare part requirements
- Assist with difficult troubleshooting and recurring problems on mechanical systems, hydraulic, pneumatic, heat transfer, and combustion
- Lead various trade & contractors coordinating projects
- Lead installation and modification of new and existing equipment
- Develop equipment lockout/tagout procedures, continue to improve safety
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required
- Previous industrial experience desirable (3 to 5 years)
- Must be knowledgeable with office applications software, AutoCAD, Inventor/3D
