Key Responsibilities
- Designing technical parts, assemblies, and full production lines.
- Creating assembly drawings and its associated detailed components.
- Conducting testing, troubleshooting, and validation of prototypes and finished products.
- Liaising with suppliers for components and semi-finished goods.
- Supporting the shop floor and field technicians during assembly, installation & commissioning.
- Sizing motors, pneumatic actuators and transmission.
- Carrying out in-coming material inspection, particularly made to order and semi-finished goods.
- High degree of discipline in BOM creation and revision control.
- Collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and project management to drive improvements.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Analyzing equipment failures, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a minimum of 3 years of machine design experience.
- Strong proficiency in Solidworks and ERP systems.
- Ability to interpret third-angle projection drawings and work comfortably with Imperial and SI units.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; additional language skills are an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate customer needs and develop practical, value-added solutions.
- Comfortable working with data, including reading reports, tracking KPIs, and preparing concise summaries.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel for client visits as required.
