This position reports to the Shift Supervisor in the Mailer Production department and takes direction from the VP of manufacturing. The role maintains consumable inventories and aids in 5S housekeeping efforts and ready make-ready materials as needed.
Responsibilities
- Readies all make-ready material as required, such as mounting plates and glue pads, and gathers materials at press for next make-ready before it begins
- Maintains press roller and cylinders in inventory by keeping new rollers in a ready state behind assigned presses
- Assures used rollers are reworked in a timely fashion
- Maintains bearing inventories for all rollers used within the pressroom
- Maintains plant cleanliness through assigned cleaning projects and keeps solvent, glue, and oil areas safe and orderly
- Maintains all waste and oil products safely and in proper containment, packaging waste properly for pickup
- Maintains an orderly, clean, and efficient space in the warehouse for inventorying new and used consumables
- Changes glue totes when required and helps press crews obtain consumables as needed
- Actively engages in the Pregis apprenticeship program to ensure continuous improvement of self and company
- Ensures compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations, maintaining departmental housekeeping standards
- Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required, along with a strong mechanical aptitude and good mathematical skills.
Work Environment
The role involves exposure to moving equipment, inside work, heat exceeding 90 degrees Fahrenheit, humidity exceeding 80%, and noise exceeding 85dB+. Personal protective equipment is required. The position requires frequent standing, stooping, lifting, pushing, and pulling (up to 50 lbs.).
Schedule
This is a full-time position with shift work, overtime expected as per business demand.
