About the Role

Responsibilities
- Adheres to policies and procedures of Bradford & Bigelow.
- Operates Zero-Speed and Flying Paster Splicers.
- Operates clamp trucks, Fork/Clamp trucks, and Electric Jacks.
- Reads and understands job tickets.
- Prepares plates (bend) to be mounted.
- Assists press operator with mounting plates and blankets.
- Assists press operator during job start-ups.
- Records all stock usage via computer.
- Maintains proper quantities of pressroom materials and chemicals.
- Monitors pH and conductivity of fountain solution.
- Performs preventive maintenance on splicers.
- Reads Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and follows proper procedures for care and disposal of hazardous waste products.
- Practices safety procedures as required by OSHA and Company policy.
- Assists in cleaning and maintaining a neat and orderly work area.
- Performs other duties as requested.
- Follows all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPEs, safe ergonomic practices, and safe handling of chemicals.
- Maintains working knowledge, awareness, and compliance with ISO Procedures.
- May require availability to work evenings and/or weekends.
- Other duties as assigned, including working where directed, on varying presses or in other departments.
Requirements
Physical Requirements
- Excellent vision, including the ability to perceive color.
- Ability to operate jacks safely.
- Ability to remain physically and mentally alert during second shift hours (6pm – 6am).
- Dexterity.
- Capable of repeated standing, walking, sitting, bending, and lifting of skids and skid boards up to 30lbs for 8-12 hours at a time.
- Ability to work at a rapid pace.
- Ability to tolerate exposure to loud noises and moving machinery (PPE provided).
- Mechanical skills preferred.
Additional Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Prior experience in a printing environment preferred but not required (willing to train).
- Safely operate a fork truck/clamp truck.
- Leadership skills.

- Interpersonal skills.
- Communication skills.
