Roll Off Driver for Waste Industry

About the Role

Waste Pro Roll-Off drivers are responsible for the delivery and emptying of large containers for Waste Pro's commercial customers. Every day, thousands of Waste Pro trucks serve millions of customers, requiring professional, experienced, hardworking, and dedicated people working together.

Waste Pro offers a $10,000.00 driver award attainable every 3 years when specific criteria are met.

Responsibilities

• Secure containers by attaching hooks and using control levers to pull containers onto the truck bed; secure straps and hand tarp containers as necessary.
• Provide a high level of service through courteous and expedient customer interactions.
• Exhibit a positive attitude toward company, customer, and municipal goals.
• Answer customer questions and direct them to Customer Service or Sales Representatives for additional information.
• Operate compaction and lift equipment on the vehicle.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections as set forth by Waste Pro procedures and D.O.T. guidelines.
• Complete Safety Lane activity and DVIR daily in accordance with Waste Pro safety lane guidelines, including inspection under the hood, checking undercarriage, fluid levels, and tire pressure.
• Maintain a clean truck and wash the exterior weekly.
• Attend and participate in corporation-sponsored training courses as assigned.
• Stay up to date on current technology relevant to the role.

Requirements

• Must have a Class A or B CDL valid for the state in which the position works.
• Requires a clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Understand refuse collection policies, procedures, guidelines, and practices, as well as Department of Transportation and state requirements for commercial motor vehicle operators.
• Ability to hear in the normal audio range and see in the normal visual range, with or without correction.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• Ability to maintain written records and service responses.
• Must be able to speak and read English well enough to communicate with customers, co-workers, dispatch, and supervisors, understand highway and traffic signals, and make legible entries on paperwork.
