Major Duties
- Reading and interpreting production schedules, job router cards, blueprints, non-conformance reports, and any other materials that summarize requirements for the building process.
- Loading and unloading rolls to the building area utilizing overhead cranes and various materials handling equipment.
- Preparing the individual rolls for installation in the roll building equipment.
- Setting the extrusion temperature, installation of screen packs, etc.
- Making sure the correct dimensions are measured and understood.
- Verifying the finished roll sizes to ensure they meet the specific job requirements.
- Wrapping the rolls with Polyester Tape or Nylon according to the job router specifications.
- End-plating the rolls if required or as specified on the Job Router.
- Completing all necessary paperwork, inspection reports, job router information, and operator sign-off on the job.
- Safely operating the roll builder to produce the desired results and meet the specific job requirements.
Qualifications
- Read, write, and understand English.
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical documents.
- Write legibly and conform to prescribed style and format.
- Communicate effectively.
- Use inspection and measurement equipment per procedure and instruction, including Durometer gauges, Micrometers, Vernier diameter tapes, Dial indicators, Profilometers, temperature-indicating devices, and others as needed.
- Apply basic math, including accurate addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
