About the role

Lakeside Book Company is seeking a Bindery Assistant to support the everyday operation of the press. This role is crucial in ensuring the machine produces product that exceeds customer expectations. You will work in a team environment, receive cross-training, and be trained to advance your career.

Responsibilities

• Assist the machine operator with the everyday operation of the press.
• Ensure the machine is producing product to exceed our customers' expectations.
• Work in a team environment and cross-train with others.
• Receive training to help advance your career.
• Move gathered books from the end of the press and place them on a skid.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for the entire duration of your shift.

Qualifications

• Previous machine experience preferred.
• Attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.
• Comfortable with computer applications.
• Ability to work in teams or alone.
• Ability to motivate other team members.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting Rate: $18.75 per hour.
• Night shift differential: 7.5% per hour.
• $100 Safety Shoe Reimbursement.
• $150 Safety Glasses Reimbursement.
• Company will provide all tools necessary.
• 2+ Weeks' Vacation (years of experience in trade considered).
• Cross-training provided.

Schedule

• 12-hour shift (days and nights).
