About the role

As a Rodman at LJA Engineering, you will be responsible for transporting and setting up instruments and equipment associated with surveying land and preparing job site for survey.

Responsibilities

• Receive direction from the Party Chief
• Transport and set up instruments and equipment associated with surveying land and preparing job site for survey
• Clear brush or trees away from survey line
• Lay out stakes to prepare for elevation measurements
• Hold prism pole steady for the surveyor to help determine elevations of different points
• Measure how far different points are from each other horizontally
• Assist with various pieces of survey equipment

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients
• Ability to lift 25 lbs
