Rockstar Coach + Trainer for Kids
KidStrong Folsom
1014 Riley St Suite 1, Folsom, CA 95630
About the role
We’re looking for a standout coach who wants to make an impact in a passionate team focused on kids, confidence, and community. If you love kids, thrive on performance, and are passionate about health, education, and teamwork, this may be your dream role.
At KidStrong, we help parents build stronger, smarter, more athletic kids. Our private training centers focus on brain, physical, and character development for ages walking through 11 years old. KidStrong uses a science-based curriculum that is parent-focused and taught by professional coaches.
Responsibilities
- Connect with and engage children ages 1 to 11 in a fun, supportive, and developmentally appropriate way.
- Lead classes with high energy, clear instructions, and age-appropriate feedback and encouragement.
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and preparedness for every class.
- Communicate effectively with both children and parents.
- Perform physically intensive tasks, including moving equipment up to 35 pounds and covering multiple miles during shifts.
- Collaborate with a team, demonstrating humility, coachability, and leadership when needed.
- Uphold a healthy lifestyle to lead by example.
Requirements
- Genuine love for children and ability to connect with kids ages 1 to 11.
- Patience, kindness, and skill in managing energy and behavior in a positive way.
- Passion for teaching and training with a focus on building confidence and skill.
- Excellent communication skills, both with children and adults.
- High-energy, animated, and comfortable being the center of attention.
- Professional demeanor: punctual, prepared, and drama-free.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Team-first mindset with leadership instincts.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, kid-centered environment.
- Commitment to a mission-driven team focused on creating a strong, healthy, empowered generation.
This role is not for you if...
- You’re uncomfortable being silly, animated, or energetic in front of kids and parents.
- You view coaching as merely running drills or giving commands.
- You get easily frustrated, overwhelmed, or impatient with children.
- You struggle with punctuality, preparedness, or bringing personal issues to work.
- You’re not ready for a physically demanding job or don’t enjoy fitness.
- You don’t take feedback well or have a rigid, "my way or the highway" attitude.
- You prefer working alone and don’t thrive in a team environment.
- You struggle with consistent communication or avoid hard conversations.
- You’re seeking a paycheck rather than a purpose-driven role.
