Rock Truck Driver

What You Will Do

• Operate CAT 777 rock trucks
• Aid in training and mentoring of other equipment operators
• Know and follow procedures for start-up and shut-down, parking, mounting, and dismounting
• Understand and respond to emergency, fire, and communication protocols
• Perform pre-shift inspections of equipment
• Communicate using two-way radio
• Perform minor maintenance activities
• Perform other duties as required
• Lift up to thirty (30) pounds during the work day
• Work a non-standard schedule that may include shift work (other than day shift)
• Willingness and ability to pass pre-employment, random, and post-incident drug and alcohol screening

Criteria/Working Conditions

• Regularly stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms
• Communicate verbally and in writing
• Work in potentially stressful environments
• Personal protective equipment required when working in a mine, outdoor, or surface mine environment

What We Seek

• 1+ years of machine experience in mining, quarry, construction, and/or earthmoving operations
• Current MSHA 5000-23 certification
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures in English
• Ability to communicate in English regarding job assignments, procedures, and safety standards
• Ability to work in a potentially stressful environment
