What You’ll Do

  • Teach and support students using Micro:bits, block coding platforms, and introductory robotics concepts
  • Help guide students into more advanced robotics, including FTC robot design, programming, and strategy
  • Assist with or lead in-person classes at various LEAGUE locations throughout San Diego
  • Support students during builds, testing, and troubleshooting sessions
  • Help teach and refine our existing robotics curriculum
  • Contribute to the development of new lessons, challenges, and projects
  • Collaborate with other volunteers and instructors to create a positive, inclusive learning environment
  • Who We’re Looking For

    • Volunteers with experience or interest in robotics, programming, engineering, or STEM education
    • Familiarity with Micro:bits, block coding, Java, or FTC robotics is a plus (but not required—we’ll help you learn!)
    • Comfortable working with students (typically ages 8–18)
    • Patient, encouraging, and excited to help students grow
    • Available to volunteer in different areas of San Diego, depending on class needs
