Robotics Technician
Your Job
The Molding Robotics Technician is responsible for supporting the Molding Department by managing preventive maintenance on robots, programming, and end-of-arm tooling construction to ensure quality parts.
What you Will do in Your Role
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on robots.
- Answer maintenance calls from Technicians.
- Create and modify robot programs.
- Stay in compliance with all safety requirements, including safety awareness, lockout/tagout, and 6S.
- Assist other robot technicians on projects.
- Build and maintain end-of-arm tooling (EOAT).
- Keep all preventative maintenance actions up to date.
- Work weekends with limited prior notice.
- Use data entry systems, Microsoft Word, and Maintenance Connection.
- Follow all environmental policies, procedures, work instructions, and requirements applicable to the work, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Immediately report to management all environmental concerns related to work being carried out, as well as all incidents that present a hazard to people, production, or the environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Robotic programming experience, preferably Fanuc.
- Some experience in PLC logic and controls.
- Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and blueprint drawings.
- Troubleshooting experience with pneumatics and electrical circuits.
- Ability to use hand tools.
- Machining experience using a milling machine and lathe preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and perform end-of-arm tool, robot, and degater preventative maintenance.
- General knowledge of computers, email, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, and effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Preferred ability to calculate figures and amounts such as concentrations, percentage, area, circumference, and volume, and apply basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
