About the Opportunity: In this role, you will oversee production equipment projects across their entire lifecycle—including design review, commissioning, optimization, contractor coordination, and handover activities. You will serve as a primary technical expert, ensuring that complex automotive manufacturing and launch projects seamlessly meet strict timing, quality, and OSHA/MBUSI safety requirements. What You'll Do: Project Coordination & Management Ensure that all assigned Controls and Electrical projects strictly meet specified timing requirements.Maintain project schedules and rigorously track milestones to ensure on-time project delivery.Represent the Project Team across all lifecycle phases: design, installation, commissioning, and handover.Lead and coordinate project groups, preparing and organizing daily and weekly meetings with customers and general contractors.Monitor scope of work changes, assist with cost monitoring, manage change tracking, and systematically resolve open issues.Exchange best practices with local plant colleagues, Production Planning teams, and international partners. Technical & Engineering Leadership Develop concepts and standards for Controls and Electrical projects according to Engineering Change Management (ECM) guidelines during the design phase.Advise and supervise general contractors, ensuring all ECM requirements are strictly met from design to ramp-up.Verify the feasibility of product changes and seamlessly coordinate their implementation into series production.Oversee equipment transfer directly to the production floor and document lessons learned for future deployments.Drive continuous improvement (CI) initiatives to actively support Body Production in achieving plant goals. Contractor, Quality & Compliance Management Accountable for regular status reporting and direct communication to the Engineer in Charge.Monitor the workspace continuously to ensure all safety precautions, protocols, and shop-specific rules are strictly met.Manage and monitor subcontractors to ensure they fulfill all technical and contractual obligations.Enforce adherence to MBUSI specifications across electrical, mechanical, and safe work protocols, including shop-specific rules.Monitor and report on quality levels for all active on-site work to the Engineer in Charge (EIC).Clarify and resolve complex technical topics by collaborating directly with internal MBUSI experts, customers, and general contractors. What We're Looking For: Minimum 5+ years of proven robotic application engineering and project management experience in high-volume automotive manufacturing.KUKA Certification and a verified Safety Certification are strictly required.Comprehensive programming and implementation mastery of KUKA Integra Wave 4, Wave 5, Wave 6, Wave 7, and Wave 7.1.Extensive hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting KUKA KRC4, KRC5-1, and KRC5-2 industrial robots.Documented expertise in commissioning and optimizing Best-Fit systems.Expert-level integration and commissioning knowledge of:Spot welding and stud weldingAdhesive applicationFlow Drill Screwing (FLS) and rivetingTorque Tools and DAISEN systemsLASER joining and material handling applications
