We’re looking for current PhD students with a passion for robotic research and applications to join us as Robotics Applied Scientist II Intern/Co-ops in 2026 to shape the future of robotics and automation at an unprecedented scale across.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to cutting-edge research in robotics, focusing on areas such as robotics, robotics manipulation, autonomous mobile robots, mobile manipulation, movement, autonomous navigation, locomotion, motion/path planning, controls, perception, sensing, robot learning, artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, large language models, human-robot interaction, robotics simulation, optimization, and more.
  • Develop and test system prototypes to advance robotic technologies and solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring research concepts to life and ensure they are aligned with business objectives.
  • Present complex technical information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences, including peers, senior management, and external partners.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one quarter/semester/trimester remaining in your studies after your internship concludes.
  • Eligible for and available for full-time (40 hours per week) internship in person based out of the assigned office location for the whole duration of the internship/co-op.
  • At least 1 year of relevant academic research or industry experience within Robotics, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Optimization, Manipulation, Perception, Motion Planning and Controls, Movement, Autonomous Navigation, Path Planning, or related fields.
  • Publication(s) at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals preferred.
  • Strong algorithm development experience and a working knowledge of analysis of algorithms and computational complexity.
  • Familiarity with state-of-the-art algorithms in field of expertise.
  • Excellent creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, Machine Learning, Operations Research, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Must be eligible for and available for full-time (40 hours per week) internship in person based out of the assigned office location for the whole duration of the internship/co-op.
  • At least 18 years of age or older.

SkillsProgramming in Java, C++, Python, or related languages.
