Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive robotics curriculum that aligns with educational standards and promotes students' learning and growth.
- Conduct engaging and interactive classroom sessions to introduce students to fundamental concepts in robotics, such as mechanical design, electrical systems, programming languages, and sensors.
- Oversee the robotics lab and ensure it is properly equipped with necessary tools, equipment, and materials.
- Teach students how to safely handle and use robotics equipment and encourage them to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Facilitate project-based learning experiences where students work individually or in teams to design, build, and program robots for specific challenges or competitions.
- Provide guidance, feedback, and technical support to help students overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
- Serve as a mentor and advisor to students, helping them explore their interests in robotics and guide them in their career aspirations.
- Encourage teamwork, collaboration, and creativity among students while fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Prepare students for robotics competitions. Train students to refine their robot designs, optimize performance, and develop effective strategies to succeed in competitive settings.
- Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and industry professionals to stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in robotics education.
- Educate students about the ethical considerations and responsible use of robotics technology. Emphasize the importance of safety protocols and teach students how to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with working with robots.
Requirements
This position is not benefit eligible. Stipend range is $100 - $9,168.
