Robotic Welder

Essential Functions

• Robot Setup: Call up programs and navigate the robotic interface. Set up welding fixtures and tools to ensure proper alignment and fit. Load and unload materials to be welded by the robot.
• Welding Operations: Start and stop welding robots as needed to complete production tasks. Monitor robot performance. Ensure the quality and precision of welds, inspecting them for defects.
• Read and Interpret Blueprints: Measure dimensions of production parts using tape measure, calipers, micrometers, and templates to ensure conformance with quality standards.
• Operate Welding Equipment: Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Operate welding equipment, such as MIG and TIG welding as needed.

Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of production, including weld settings, materials used, and work completed.
• Report any issues, defects, or incidents related to robot operation or welding quality.

Team Collaboration

• Collaborate with other team members, such as welders, engineers, and supervisors, to meet production goals and quality standards.
• Provide input and feedback to improve welding processes.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and welding symbols.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality welds.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

Education And Qualifications

• Welding Certificate or 3 years of welding experience.
• Proven experience in operating welding robots or similar automated machinery.

Physical Requirements

• Must have manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
• Must be able to see details at close range.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
