Responsibilities
- Follow safety and environmental procedures.
- Arrive at work on time as scheduled every day.
- Demonstrate proficient communication skills.
- Accurately read and use quality tools to ensure product quality.
- Examine welds and unload parts to verify they meet standards and specifications.
- Use a computer to enter part information and inventory in the ERP system.
- Load, set up, and operate robotic welding equipment.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance, repair, and setup to keep robotic welders running smoothly and reduce downtime.
- Monitor welds during the welding process; observe and correct issues by adjusting speed, voltage, amperage, or feed of wire or rod.
- Execute scheduling tasks using the scheduling board.
- Use motorized walking stacker equipment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to operate cranes and overhead hoists.
- Ability to use quality inspection equipment.
- Proficient in basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to pass an eye exam.
Work Environment
The work environment is a metal fabrication machine shop. Indoor setting that is noisy and can be hot during summer months.
