Key job responsibilities

  • Production Assembly
    • Assemble subassemblies and final robots per assembly drawings, work instructions, and other relevant specifications.
    • Perform mechanical assembly tasks such as fastening, joining, alignment, and the use of fixtures or jigs as required.
    • Install modules including drive, actuation, battery pack, sensors, compute, and communications components.
    • Electrical Assembly
      • Build and route harnesses.
      • Crimp, solder, and terminate connectors per company standards.
      • Perform electrical assembly tasks such as preparing, installing, and verifying system components and connections.
      • Commission and configure devices as needed.
      • Test & Quality
        • Execute incoming, in-process, and end-of-line tests using checklists and automated scripts.
        • Record results in the build traveler or other relevant systems.
        • Maintain complete unit histories and serial tracking.
        • Perform basic troubleshooting and rework within training.
        • Escalate issues to line lead or engineering.

    Backend Operations

    • Receive parts.
    • Perform incoming inspection, kitting, sorting, labeling, and staging for builds.
    • Conduct physical counts and maintain inventory accuracy for assigned bins and kits.
    • Support pack-out and handoff of completed units.

    Feedback & Continuous Improvement

    • Provide feedback on work instructions, tooling, fixtures, test procedures, and part design to improve speed, efficiency, and quality.
    • Log findings and propose changes with clear steps to reproduce issues where applicable.

    Compliance & Collaboration

    • Follow all company safety, ESD, and 5S practices.
    • Maintain a clean and organized station.
    • Participate in daily stand-ups and coordination with the line lead and engineering.

    Basic Qualifications

    • 2+ years of mechanical and electrical integration or assembly experience.
    • Experience reading and writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawings.
    • Experience using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, fixtures, and measurement equipment.
    • Experience assembling, routing, terminating, or troubleshooting electrical wiring, harnesses, connectors, or electronic components.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience managing and delivering product quality or testing.
    • Experience assembling or testing robotics, automation equipment, consumer electronics, vehicles, aerospace hardware, or other complex electromechanical systems.
    • Experience with crimping, soldering, connector termination, cable routing, and harness fabrication.
    • Experience working in a controlled production environment using ESD, 5S, traceability, and configuration-control practices.
