Key job responsibilities
- Production Assembly
- Assemble subassemblies and final robots per assembly drawings, work instructions, and other relevant specifications.
- Perform mechanical assembly tasks such as fastening, joining, alignment, and the use of fixtures or jigs as required.
- Install modules including drive, actuation, battery pack, sensors, compute, and communications components.
- Electrical Assembly
- Build and route harnesses.
- Crimp, solder, and terminate connectors per company standards.
- Perform electrical assembly tasks such as preparing, installing, and verifying system components and connections.
- Commission and configure devices as needed.
- Test & Quality
- Execute incoming, in-process, and end-of-line tests using checklists and automated scripts.
- Record results in the build traveler or other relevant systems.
- Maintain complete unit histories and serial tracking.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and rework within training.
- Escalate issues to line lead or engineering.
- Receive parts.
- Perform incoming inspection, kitting, sorting, labeling, and staging for builds.
- Conduct physical counts and maintain inventory accuracy for assigned bins and kits.
- Support pack-out and handoff of completed units.
- Provide feedback on work instructions, tooling, fixtures, test procedures, and part design to improve speed, efficiency, and quality.
- Log findings and propose changes with clear steps to reproduce issues where applicable.
- Follow all company safety, ESD, and 5S practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized station.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and coordination with the line lead and engineering.
- 2+ years of mechanical and electrical integration or assembly experience.
- Experience reading and writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawings.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, fixtures, and measurement equipment.
- Experience assembling, routing, terminating, or troubleshooting electrical wiring, harnesses, connectors, or electronic components.
- Experience managing and delivering product quality or testing.
- Experience assembling or testing robotics, automation equipment, consumer electronics, vehicles, aerospace hardware, or other complex electromechanical systems.
- Experience with crimping, soldering, connector termination, cable routing, and harness fabrication.
- Experience working in a controlled production environment using ESD, 5S, traceability, and configuration-control practices.
