About the role
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, high-performing team delivering critical transportation solutions for NCDOT, local municipalities, and private-sector clients — while helping shape the future growth of our transportation practice in North Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of transformative roadway, highway, and interstate projects across the region
- Work alongside division leadership and technical experts to help grow our transportation practice
- Shape client strategy and position Benesch for long-term success in North Carolina’s evolving infrastructure landscape
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- North Carolina Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain through reciprocity
- 12+ years of progressive roadway, highway, and/or interstate design experience
- Demonstrated success leading transportation projects through all phases of delivery
- Strong project management skills, including scope, budget, schedule, and QA/QC oversight
- Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
Preferred Experience
- Experience delivering projects for NCDOT
- Familiarity with public-sector procurement and bidding processes
- Business development and proposal leadership exposure
- Experience mentoring technical staff and contributing to team growth
Qualifications
