Roadway Engineers and Designers
About the role
We are enthusiastically searching for all levels of Roadway Engineers and Designers to join our growing team throughout the southern US. Selected candidates can expect to work on alternative delivery projects, including mega-projects. Key roles include: Junior level, mid-level and senior level Roadway Engineers, Roadway CAD Designers, and Roadway Modelers.
Responsibilities
- Use extensive knowledge in planning, designing and managing transportation systems to help public and private clients find smarter, more advanced ways to move people across cities, countries and continents.
- Partner with clients to build, modernize and expand transportation projects that carry all our communities into the future — safely and reliably.
- Earn the trust of local municipalities, government agencies, commercial clients and public-private partnerships through our integrated approach and social responsibility.
- Deliver high-quality solutions for our clients that pave the way for long-lasting benefits to society.
Requirements
- Minimum Requirements:
- Roadway CAD Designers & Roadway Modelers: BS Degree or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
- Junior Level Engineers: BS in Engineering + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
- Mid-Level Engineers: BS in Engineering + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
- Senior Level Engineers / Task Leads: BS in Engineering + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
- Preferred Qualifications: EIT Certification or PE License, State DOT experience
Qualifications
- Desired skillsets include: Design/Build or Alternative Delivery project experience, Experience or interest in complex interstate highway design, Experience with Bentley Microstation and Open Roads, Experience in Roadway Design calculations including Superelevation, Stopping Sight Distance (SSD), Decision Sight Distance (DSD), Acceleration and Deceleration lanes, Experience using the 2018 AASHTO Green Book.
