About the role

We are enthusiastically searching for all levels of Roadway Engineers and Designers to join our growing team throughout the southern US. Selected candidates can expect to work on alternative delivery projects, including mega-projects. Key roles include: Junior level, mid-level and senior level Roadway Engineers, Roadway CAD Designers, and Roadway Modelers.

Responsibilities

  • Use extensive knowledge in planning, designing and managing transportation systems to help public and private clients find smarter, more advanced ways to move people across cities, countries and continents.
  • Partner with clients to build, modernize and expand transportation projects that carry all our communities into the future — safely and reliably.
  • Apply design/build or alternative delivery project experience, especially in complex interstate highway design.
  • Utilize Bentley Microstation and Open Roads software for roadway design calculations such as superelevation, stopping sight distance (SSD), decision sight distance (DSD), acceleration and deceleration lanes.
  • Be familiar with the 2018 AASHTO Green Book for roadway design calculations.

Requirements

  • BS Degree or demonstrated equivalency in Engineering + 2 years of related experience for Roadway CAD Designers & Roadway Modelers.
  • BS in Engineering + 2 years of related experience for Junior Level Engineers.
  • BS in Engineering + 6 years of related experience for Mid-Level Engineers.
  • BS in Engineering + 10 years of related experience for Senior Level Engineers / Task Leads.

Qualifications

  • Design/Build or Alternative Delivery project experience.
  • Experience or interest in complex interstate highway design.
  • Experience with Bentley Microstation and Open Roads.
  • Experience in Roadway Design calculations including Superelevation, Stopping Sight Distance (SSD), Decision Sight Distance (DSD), Acceleration and Deceleration lanes.
  • Experience using the 2018 AASHTO Green Book.

Preferred Qualifications

  • EIT Certification or PE License.
  • State DOT experience.
