Roadway Engineering Team Leader

About the role

The Roadway Engineering Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the roadway engineering team in multiple locations across Illinois and Missouri. This position requires strong leadership skills, expertise in roadway engineering, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design and construction of roadway projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
• Develop and implement safety plans to protect workers and the public on roadways.
• Collaborate with other departments within the company to coordinate efforts and meet project deadlines.
• Prepare and present project reports and updates to clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in roadway engineering, including supervisory experience.
• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of traffic engineering principles and practices.

Skills

• Proficient in AutoCAD and other design software.

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
