What You'll Be Doing

• Collaborate often with senior engineers
• Perform various roadway engineering and design assignments requiring the application of engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria for projects ranging in size and complexity
• Utilize drafting and modeling software, tools, and programs to develop conceptual and detailed designs
• Perform design calculations including material quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates
• Assist in the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications for assigned projects
• Affix to the preparation of detailed requisitions for material purchase, services, and subcontracts
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

Skills & Qualifications You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
• 3 years or more of related work experience with road and highway projects
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate is essential
• Professional Engineer (PE) Registration is desirable, but not required
• Proficiency in utilizing AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation Geopak, and/or OpenRoads, is required
• The ability to communicate and effectively participate as part of an engineering team

Schedule

This position is a remote role, reporting into and collaborating closely with our Kansas City-based roadway group.

Pay

Salary Range: $63,600.00 - $111,300.00
