What You'll Be Doing
- Collaborate often with senior engineers
- Perform various roadway engineering and design assignments requiring the application of engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria for projects ranging in size and complexity
- Utilize drafting and modeling software, tools, and programs to develop conceptual and detailed designs
- Perform design calculations including material quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates
- Assist in the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications for assigned projects
- Affix to the preparation of detailed requisitions for material purchase, services, and subcontracts
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
Skills & Qualifications You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
- 3 years or more of related work experience with road and highway projects
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate is essential
- Professional Engineer (PE) Registration is desirable, but not required
- Proficiency in utilizing AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation Geopak, and/or OpenRoads, is required
- The ability to communicate and effectively participate as part of an engineering team

Schedule
This position is a remote role, reporting into and collaborating closely with our Kansas City-based roadway group.
Pay
Salary Range: $63,600.00 - $111,300.00
