About the role
The Roadway Engineer will work with a team of engineers on the planning and design of transportation projects primarily in PA, DE, and MD. Anticipated project types include intersection and interchange design, new roadway alignments, roadway widenings, roundabouts, interstates, and pedestrian and bicycle facilities.
Responsibilities
- Design of horizontal and vertical alignments
- Development of roadway plans and profiles
- Roadside evaluation elements
- Maintenance of traffic design
- Preparation of construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Development of technical reports
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited program)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- 5-10 years of relevant job experience related to roadway engineering (experience with PennDOT and PTC preferred)
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle multiple assignments
- Experience with design software tools such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Positive attitude and willingness to work cooperatively with others
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future

Pay
The expected compensation range for this position is $90,000.00 - $185,000.00. The specific compensation offered may vary based on factors including the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and experience.
