Responsibilities
- Work with a team of engineers on the planning and design of transportation projects in ND.
- Design horizontal and vertical alignments.
- Develop roadway plans and profiles.
- Evaluate roadside elements.
- Maintain traffic design.
- Prepare construction plans, specifications, cost estimates.
- Develop technical reports.
- Contribute to intersection and interchange designs.
- Develop new roadway alignments.
- Manage roadway widenings, roundabouts, interstates, and pedestrian/bicycle facilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 5-10 years of experience in roadway engineering (candidates with significant relevant experience but fewer years will also be considered).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina preferred.
- Proficiency with design software including MicroStation, OpenRoads.
- Strong oral and written communication skills at all organizational levels.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multi-office teams.
- Ability to lead and manage multiple projects, assignments, and teams.
- Positive, cooperative attitude as both a team leader and team player.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
