Roadway EIT/Designer

About the role

We'll count on you to work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural roadway projects. You'll take responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans, and construction estimates. You'll provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications, and calculations. You'll perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
  • EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of “Roadway Designer" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
  • Able to develop designs using MicroStation, GEOPAK, or other transportation design software packages
  • Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
  • Familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Open Roads Designer
  • MS Office experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preference is given to local candidates

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Skills

  • Ability to develop designs using MicroStation, GEOPAK, or other transportation design software packages
  • Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
  • Familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Open Roads Designer
  • MS Office experience
