Roadway EIT/Designer
About the role
Serve in a technical role under the direction of a Project Manager on the engineering development of urban and rural highway/roadway/right of way projects.
Develop roadway designs and plans in accordance to guidelines, standards, and specifications under the direction of a Project Engineer.
Oversee the work of CAD Designers, and possibly other roadway design professionals.
Prepare detailed engineering designs for roadway and highway projects.
Collaborate with Right of Way and preconstruction staff.
Participate in activities ranging from site feasibility analysis to final design and through the construction phase.
Work with client facilities and under direction of Client staff as needed.
Perform other duties as needed.

- Reading and interpreting roadway and Right Of Way plans.
- Experience working with TDOT Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain.
- Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer.
Preferred Qualifications

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field.
