Roadway Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work on exciting and engaging projects and utilize your highway/roadway design expertise.
• Lead teams on our larger projects.
• Work directly with the Portland and WSDOT Olympic Region offices and their transportation team to solve complex problems.
• Take a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.
• Identify applications of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to complex problems.
• Deliver the boldest solutions for everyday living leading functional teams or projects.
• Serve as a best practice/quality resource.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in transportation work with an emphasis on roadway/highway and geometrics final design and/or Maintenance of Traffic and Traffic Control final design
• Professional Engineering license
• MicroStation/Inroads and Openroads background
• Experience with plans preparation, specifications, estimates and design documentation
• Experience with multi-discipline infrastructure engineering design and construction projects
• ADA design experience
• Previous WA or OR Department of Transportation experience

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $7,500.00 to $150,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
