Roadside Technician Commercial Tires - Grove City, OH

About the Role

An emergency response tire technician for semi-truck fleets. When a customer has a tire-related failure, a Technician is dispatched to the customer's location to repair or change the tire. This means performing job duties roadside. During times when there are no service calls pending, Technicians will help mount orders, clean and organize the shop, and perform other general duties as needed.

You will be trained in all required skills; experience isn’t required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Service commercial tires: dismount, mount, and repair any type of tire
• Perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary
• Inflate tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements
• Comply with OSHA regulations and safety requirements, including wearing proper PPE, using tire cages, and following all safety policies and procedures
• Respond to after-hours service calls during mandatory on-call rotation (95% acceptance rate, including weekends and nights)
• Assist with shop tasks such as mounting orders, cleaning, and organizing when not on service calls

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements
• At least 21 years of age
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous commercial service tire experience

Pay

Starting pay: $21 hourly. After-hours service calls are paid at double-time with a minimum of 2 hours per call (e.g., a 45-minute call earns 1 hour 15 minutes of additional double-time pay).

Schedule

Mandatory on-call rotation, including weekends and nights.
